Martin the Wizard is a hit. The Washoe Times loves it. Sam Clemens loves it in the TE. Martin’s tent was full most nights as it was cooler than an indoor theatre and his tent featured iced beverages, in a deal he worked out with local saloons who took turns catering his act. — July 18, 1863 —
