Sam screws up at the paper – writes “How Is It?” attacking the Union paper

October 30, 2011 by fredgooltz

Sam is left in charge of the Enterprise in his editor’s absence and during a drinking spree published a facetious article saying that the rival paper, the Virginia City Daily Union was not meeting its pledges to the eastern miscegenation society that got it’s money from prominent Carson City women who had just thrown a Cason City Grand Ball. the money was to help Civil War vets. poor taste. Sam writes “How Is It?” claiming that his paper raised everything it said it would for the Sanitary Fund and that the Union paper was actually raising money for the Miscegenation Society back east.
