An Act to authorize the Secretary of the Territory to receive Compensation for certain Duties pertaining to his Office has been passed by the legislature. It permitted Orion to collect several fees, including one dollar “for attaching a certificate and the seal of his office to any instrurment not pertaining tot the government of said territory – this supplemented his salary.
