Orion decides to leave the west

October 30, 2011 by fredgooltz

He got Sam’s letter which told him that Orion was going to have to sell the Tennessee Land and beat the price of $200k because Sam was done with that whole affair. Orion and Mollie leave for SF, selling off all the remaining stock that Orion had in the mining company and selling off his Carson City house. Sam said that it was a $12k house that he sold plus all it’s furniture for $3,500. They left everything, the piano, the curtains, the silver. The only thing they couldn’t bear to part with was Jennie’s little chair, they took that with them.
