Joe Goodman – Publisher of the TE and Tom Fitch of the Union duel at Six Mile Canyon but got arrested before they could fire. Later, Sept 28, 1863 they do duel at Ingraham’s Ranch in Stampede Valley where Goodman shot Fitch in the knee. there is a strict code to challenging and insulting people in print, then in card, then posting an insult – there are rules as to the duel itself selects and seconds – but for Fitch and Goodman there was a giant crowd which broke the code and brought down the law on them.
