Friday benefit for Leighton’s Farewell

November 6, 2011 by fredgooltz

She is leaving 1 week from Maguire’s Minstrels coming and killing all week. So they heavily promote all week long a friday farewell show (2 from farewell) with the bill of Our Female American Cousin, The Widow’s Victim, and Fool of the Family. But attendance is disappointing. Saturday and Sunday tickets are reduced price with news shows, The Rough Diamond, A Kiss in the Dark, The Pleasant Neighbor and a variety show with special guest Yankee Locke – but there were many empty seats all weekend — July 29, 1863 — July 31, 1863
