Ravages west of A street and south of Pat Lynch’s saloon – during the fire the Virginia Engine Company No. 1 and the Nevada Hook and Ladder No. 1 (rival fire companies) had a huge street battle on the corner of Taylor and C MTIVC pg 82 The mines have been booming since June. The city is doubling in size every 4 months. this damage was rebuilt in 6 weeks.
