Colonel Wood’s Great American Exhibition – a panorama show featuring character actors some dressed as indians, and animal hides staged a show tent.

Paiute indians came into VC single file on horseback, wearing the skins of wild animals, head skins attached, pulled over their own heads. Slowly they went though town as citizens watched from balconies and porch sidewalk, they could see human eyes darting inside the animal skins’ holes.

“Buck” Buchanan came back to VC with a smaller company including a young Walter Leman. The company moved into Carey’s La Plata Hall.
