Antheneum Melodeon

December 9, 2009 by fredgooltz

Atheneum is situated on C street nearly opposite “Sutliff’s,” and is at present occupied as a melodeon. A show at the Melodeon had an easel on stage with a large playbill advertising exactly what play it was and who was who. In the orchestra pit, a small band would play music underscoring the scene. Taking cues off the actors and vice-versa.
